ABOUT INSTITUTE 

Center Spirala - Center of Selfmobility is a non-profit institution for research and development in the social sciences and humanities. It was founded in 2001 in Ljubljana. The institute studies development in the light of the relationship between the humanities and the data society. In this respect, it develops thinking models to discover the links between development and identity issues. 

The Institute provides supervision, evaluation, and occasional education in the fields of social care, health care, and adult education.  

For years the Institute has been involved in national and European projects, starting with PHARE, Leonardo da Vinci and Erasmus+. During its 22 years of activity, the Institute has touched upon a wide range of topics, from the specific to the general: Linking knowledge with work, synergy between education, career and private life, preventing brain drain of university-educated people, self-mobility model, work stress, career counselling and forging, social responsibility and other concepts of balanced development, competences for different types of professions, development evaluation, managing silence, leadership for change, identity crisis within modern society, fluid society, virtual addiction, the position of humanism in the light of dataism.
